Lisa has a health science background and coupled with building a successful business (Seasol International) was exposed to some of the world’s best teachings in Emotional Intelligence/Conscious Communication and Leadership principles.
Background: I was born with that horse gene… the one that makes the smell of horse manure divine. A gene I discovered not everyone has.
I had horses as a child, but then a very big break. They entered my life again in my early 30's - some 25 years ago. I have been a dedicated Horsemanship student for 15 years now.
My tertiary studies were science-based in Naturopathy, but I have always had a keen interest in humanity, healing, social welfare, and justice. It’s a bit of a long story about how I ended up running the family business, Seasol, but what I really loved in the business world was Leadership training and Personal development. Understanding yourself and the way you are perceived by others is one of the most fundamental keys to success in relationships.
I believe that self-awareness, self-regulation, and conscious communication are the keys to successful relationships. Happiness is not about what you do, it’s about who you are.
We say at the beginning of our Equine Leadership Course that it really should be called a Personship course because really it’s about improving our relationships at every level, which ultimately makes you a better parent, friend, spouse, employee, and family member.
Now that we have been running the programs for over 8 years, I am continually blown away by the impact the horses have on the humans. They are amazing teachers and they give us 100% authentic feedback! I feel privileged and blessed every day, to be able to share the horses and my property with all those who come across our path.
